Loving it! I leave it next to the sink so I can heat up those canning jars whenever I like.  Since it is canning season, that is pretty often.  Didn't have enough eyes on the stove to blanche the food , heat the jars, heat the seals, and get the pressure canner or water bath canner all going at the same time.  Now I can easily heat the jars  And it is not necessary to shift the heavy hot pot full of jars and water.  Water heats quickly and the spout is so convenient.

I have been wanting this electric water bath canner for a couple of years and finally treated myself to it.  I LOVE it!  As soon as it arrived, I gave it a test run to assure everything worked (it did!) and then yesterday I canned the 5 pints of tomatoes from my garden.  The appliance made the work so much better - i.e. no heating up the kitchen with a big boiling pot of water on the stove was a big plus and the ease of emptying was great.  I have been a casual canner but plan to do much more now.  I recommend!

Perfect Tool for me!

Not only does this canner keep my stove free and save me from the extra heat in the kitchen, but it cooks soup and steams veggies perfectly.  The spout is handy for draining and also for adding hot water to a bowl for the lids just I'm ready for it.  It stores nicely and cleans easily.  I'm very happy.

More than I expected

I purchased this product so that I would not need to monitor the water bath processing.  It worked!  I am very pleased and glad I purchased

Great water bath canning tool

I have a glass top stove, which is not recommended for water bath canning ( even though I did it twice with no problems) so I ordered this. I've only used it twice so far, but it works great! It frees up space on the stove, and it fits 7 quarts, or 8 pints at a time! Much better than only being able to fit 4 quarts in a stock pot. Gonna be stocking the pantry with goodies!

easy to use i have a glass top stove very hard to get a big pot to boil as needed for canning  loving it so far jars sealed quickly after removing from the pot i would definitely recommend this product to a friend or family member

I'm fairly new to canning, started out using an old hand-me-down canner that took up a good part of my stove.  It was a major operation to get everything to fit on my stove top.  But then I discovered this Ball Electric Water Bath Canner. Read the reviews and had to have it! What a great purchase! Love the spout to drain the water, the glass lid is great to view what's going on, the diffuser is a nice feature that controls splashing when on canning mode, and the water heats up super fast.  The best part is that my stove top is free. Thank you Walmart for having it at such a great price!!

Perfect Canning!

I really like this canner, especially the fact that it can be used on your counter, rather than the stove.  I think the instructions could be more detailed as it relates to the draining feature, but was able to figure out how to drain it eventually.

I love the canner, works perfectly.  I did not like the 3rd party company that I  purchased it from on walmart.com.  It arrived 2 days late and the day after I  paid for it, the canner was on sale for 63.00 less.  Wal-Mart  nor the 3rd party company  would not honor the price difference.

Great product,  bad seller.

Bought this item last year to work with our small farm canning jams and jellies.  Like one of the other reviews, we started smelling a burning plastic smell.  Finally found out were it was coming from.  The power plug in the back of the base had over heated and melted/fused inside the base.  We also noticed burning around the terminals from the tank plugging into the base.  The canner itself is an excellent product but the fact that these parts are burning and melting is scary.  It's a good thing we never left it on unattended.
We found on BALL's web page you could buy the base as a replacement which directs you to Walmart but you  can't find the base alone and are required to buy the whole thing again.  We are hopeful to get in touch with customer service when they are open to find a solution.
